Youth Ministry Information First Baptist Church youth ministry is an exciting part of the life of our church and is a place where youth 6th-12th grades can find friends, fun, and knowledge of Jesus Christ and God. Our youth ministry is guided by our mission statement and values of youth ministry: Mission Statement First Baptist Church youth ministry invites youth to live "God-fashioned lives" and to grow as follows of Jesus Christ in their various social, educational, and familial contexts by upholding our six values of youth ministry through meaningful events and activities.
So just what happens in our youth ministry? Heres just a sample: youth-led worship services, small group Bible studies, intergenerational events, Wednesday night fellowships, lots of pizza eating, ski trips, camps across the US, senior trips, lockouts, parties, concerts, service projects, spring break trips, school lunches, senior high breakfasts, and much more! Join us! Our Youth Leadership Our youth volunteers are a special group of church members who generously give of their time and love to invest in our youth, the future of our church and communities. These volunteers mentor, befriend, listen, teach, and model Christian faith and living for our youth through our weekly activities and special events. Volunteers also serve as part of the Youth Leadership Team, a group of volunteers and youth who help plan and make decisions concerning the youth ministry. Youth Volunteers for 2009-2010
Volunteers choose their level of commitment, as an advisor or leader, and serve for a period of about one year at a time. If you are a church or Sunday School member and are interested in learning more about our volunteers or volunteering, please contact Jason Matlack. Our Youth Staff Members
