Welcome Guests!

I am so glad that you have found the web-space for FBC Shreveport Youth! If you are new to Shreveport, looking to join a youth group, or are simply curious to learn more about us, you have come to the right place. Please do not hesitate to use the Contact Us link above to get in contact with me about our youth ministry.

Peace,

Jason Matlack, Minister to Youth

Who are we?

We are the 6th-12th grade youth at First Baptist Church of Shreveport. We come from a lot of different schools, lots of different backgrounds, and have lots of hobbies. We are young people who gather to worship and experience God, to build and encourage friendships, to serve as Jesus served in the world, and learn more and more about how to live a Christian life. We are the future of the Church both here in Shreveport and elsewhere in the world! (For more information, check out Youth Ministry Information on our Parent Resources page.)

When do we meet?

We meet mostly on Sundays and Wednesdays. Check out our Weekly Activities on the right side of every page for more specific information.

When are 10:Ten and Common Ground over?

10:Ten finishes at 11:05am and Common Ground dismisses at 7:40pm.

Where do we meet?

We mostly meet in the Activities Center Gym or Fitness Room for Sunday School and Common Ground, but not for long! We are planning to build a new building for temporary space while we plan for much bigger and better things as part of a church-wide overhaul in the coming years! Check our Contact Us page for a church campus map.

Just where is FBC Shreveport located?

We are at 543 Ockley Drive in Shreveport, Louisiana. See the Driving Directions box at the bottom of every page or visit our Contact Us page for detailed directions from your location to ours!

What do we do?

We do just about everything! From Bible studies and youth Christian education, to trips and camps, service projects, and everything in between!

Do I need to bring anything to attend?

Nope! Just come as you are. If you are able, you can bring a Bible to Sunday School and Common Ground, but it is not required.
